ISO Consultants for Healthcare, LLC developed the techniques utilized by many of the DNVHC surveyors. We are directly involved in DNVHC surveyor training as well as the survey process. Our services include mock survey preparation for organizations beginning their journey with DNVHC as well as organizations simply striving for improvement.

ICH provides NIAHO^SM surveys through two specific levels so that organizations can select a service that meets their needs. Our Mock Survey is conducted by trained/qualified DNVHC personnel. The surveyor team will consist of a Clinician, Generalist and Life Safety specialist.

NIAHO^SM Improvement Surveys are another service offered by ICH. This survey moves beyond a compliance oriented Mock Survey to include aspects of integrating ISO9001 or the local quality management system. Our NIAHO^SM Improvement Survey is conducted by DNVHC approved surveyors which understand fundamentals of quality management in addition to the NIAHO^SM clinical requirements. Our survey process includes identifying opportunities within the system to centralize policies and standardize practices. We follow the same protocol for the survey team and provide a survey report identifying the organizations level of compliance and include recommended improvement initiatives.

ISO9001 Surveys

ICH also provides ISO9001 surveys for organizations desiring to understand their readiness for ISO9001 compliance. Our services are not limited to mock compliance surveys but also include surveys focused on organizational improvement and internal audit services.

Healthcare organizations adopting ISO9001 as their quality management system may elect to contract the ISO9001 audit activities. ICH not only trains internal auditors we perform Internal Audits. We provide a survey team to conduct your ISO9001 internal audits that are trained according to the latest audit practices. Our audits provide maximum value to the organization with minimal interruption to your staff. This allows the organization to focus on the care of patients and ICH to focus on the system that generates the patient care. Our audit practice is based upon the same principles and training received by DNVHC surveyors. ICH also continually improves our audit practices based upon innovative concepts developed through our consulting services.

ICH also provides mentoring services for our client’s internal auditors. As audits are conducted we attend each session and witness the audit practices and techniques utilized by each auditor. ICH consultants evaluate the organizations auditing policy, procedures and forms and may even provide a customized survey to determine the level of confidence and value perceived from the current audit process. Our observations and survey results are blended into a training session to provide a value added critique of the audit methods, system and feedback on the perceived value to promote continual enhancement of our clients internal audit system.
